Judging Panel
The judging panel for the PR One Prizes is composed of representatives from IOP, international business press release distribution agencies, and editorial organizations. The panel brings together extensive experience in brand marketing and a strong background in media practice, with in-depth knowledge of the complete press release process—from planning, writing, and distribution to market response.
The judges will evaluate entries with professionalism, fairness, and diverse perspectives, taking into account writing quality, media relevance, creativity, execution strategy, and market impact to comprehensively assess each participant’s public relations expertise.
The panel believes that an outstanding press release not only delivers information but also resonates with audiences and drives real influence. Through this competition, we aim to discover PR professionals with both insight and impact—those whose work allows the brilliance of professionalism to shine on the media stage. The jury comes from three organizations:
- INTERNATIONAL ONE PRIZES: Members of our organization will select public relations organizations and public relations personnel, and projects that are eligible for this award from a comprehensive perspective.
- News Agency MERXWIRE: The news agency’s editors anonymously rate the works, who review them from the perspective of a media editor or reporter. This helps select works that are likely to attract the attention of media and news readers.
- European Art Editors and Awards Club: Senior members of the art organization will use their design and writing perspectives to evaluate the creativity and practicality of the entries and score them.
Score Calculation Criteria
The scoring of this award will be divided into four parts. It is hoped that experts from different fields can work together to give scores to the entries that meet market expectations.
- Professionalism (30%): Demonstrating the credibility and execution expected of a press release plan is the core indicator for this item. Evaluates the participant’s professional performance in the writing and distribution of press releases. Includes the accuracy of language, clarity of structure, journalistic integrity, and professionalism in media relations.
- Creativity(30%): Outstanding work should stand out in the media landscape yet remain authentic and persuasive. Focuses on the originality of the concept, narrative approach, and presentation style of the press release. Assesses how well the content breaks through conventional formats while integrating brand identity and news value.
- Practicality (30%): Evaluates the practical effectiveness and applicability of the press release. Includes ease of media adoption, readability, clarity of key messages, and feasibility of the distribution strategy.
- Market Influence (10%): This criterion highlights the PR professional’s ability to transform communication into measurable brand influence. Measures the actual results and impact of the press release after publication. Indicators include media exposure, audience response, brand awareness growth, and social media reach.
