INTERNATIONAL ONE PRIZES

The International OP Awards host two major competitions throughout the year, recognizing outstanding news and media projects and public relations agencies. The international awards are a global benchmark for news and public relations achievements and brand building. Every two years, a winner is selected from the winners of the past two years to receive the biennial inaugural award, recognizing their exceptional media relations capabilities. The International OP Awards welcomes your participation!

The selection criteria: Is it difficult to win the One Prizes?

Analyze your creative maturity

The One Prizes selection process is rigorous and fair. As the industry knows, registering for the One Prizes does not guarantee an award. However, for dedicated Press Release Distribution Services, PR Agencies, companies, and professionals, a professional project plan and its execution will certainly capture the attention and affirmation of the awards jury. We believe that PR professionals, agencies, or organizations who actively prepare their applications have a high chance of success. Because this competition not only views press release distribution, PR strategy, and content as an art form, but also emphasizes its market viability and actual impact, we assess the excellence of each entry from multiple perspectives, ultimately recognizing the unique appeal of these creative concepts.

Selection Criteria

The One Prizes jury evaluates each submission based on four core criteria. To win an award, PR project or agency service must demonstrate excellence across all these areas:

A. Press Release One Prizes (PROP): Competition for Content, Distribution, and Influence

This competition focuses on the performance of a single project’s press release. The judging panel will review the following documents and data submitted by entrants:

I. Press Release Content & Creativity

  • Final Press Release: Evaluation of the headline’s appeal, writing structure, clarity of argumentation, narrative coherence, and relevance of the message.

  • Strategy Concept: The core issue relevance of the press release, thematic creativity, timing selection for distribution, and proposed solutions.

  • Visual Assets: The quality and innovation of accompanying media such as photos, charts, infographics, or videos released with the press release.

II. Distribution & Execution Efficiency

  • Distribution Channels & Media List: The distribution services utilized by the entrant, and the media list (e.g., whether the release was targeted at specific journalists or industry media).

  • Reach Proof: Evidence demonstrating the actual volume, type (e.g., national/local/industry media), and geographical range of media outlets reached by the press release.

III. Impact & Outcome

  • Media Coverage Results: The volume and quality of coverage secured, the volume of major media pickup, and extended reach.

  • Metrics: Traffic data (e.g., press release click-through rate, website traffic change), social media reach, social media discussion volume, and search engine indexing and ranking performance.

  • Commercial or Public Outcome: Evidence of the press release’s actual contribution to sales, brand reputation, policy change, or enhancement of public awareness.

B. PR Agency One Prizes (PRAOP): Competition for Overall Capability, Strategy, and Client Results

This competition focuses on the agency’s overall capability demonstrated over a period of time. The judging panel will review the comprehensive documentation provided by the agencies:

I. Strategy & Professional Expertise

  • Client Problem-Solving Case Studies: Submission of successful, challenging PR project case studies demonstrating how PR strategy was utilized to solve core business problems.

  • Scope of PR Project & Specialization: The core competitive advantages created by the project, industry specialization (e.g., technology, medical, finance), and innovation.

  • Media Relations Network: The breadth, depth, and maintenance effectiveness of the media network.

II. Execution & Efficiency

  • Process & Methodology: The agency’s processes and application of innovative tools for planning, executing, and quantifying PR projects.

  • Resource Management & Cross-Media Integration: The efficiency of resource allocation and the ability to integrate across media channels (e.g., traditional media, KOLs, social media) under budget and time constraints.

III. Market Influence & Credibility

  • Metrics: Traffic data (e.g., press release click-through rate, website traffic change), social media reach, social media discussion volume, and search engine indexing and ranking performance.

  • Media Coverage Results: The volume and quality of coverage secured, the volume of major media pickup, and extended reach.

  • Business Results & Awards Proof: Awards, certifications, or related achievements obtained within the industry.

  • Commercial or Public Outcome: The actual contribution to business growth, enhancement of public credibility, and practical impact on sales, brand reputation, policy change, or public awareness enhancement.

Ultimately, The One Prizes are not just for beautiful copywriting; they are for news and PR strategies that are innovative, practical, and have a tangible impact on the market and society.
